Rosemary Gibson Keynote Speaker Author of Wall of Silence: The Human Face of Medical Errors will be the Keynote Speaker at the MAC 2004 annual meeting in Raleigh. A review of her book in JAMA (November 12, 2003) states that the authors "bring forward the missing voices: those of everyday people who have suffered devastating injuries from medical mistakes." The book includes information based on 75 interviews with people who were victims of medical errors and tells their stories.

Hall is the Director of the Office of Diversity at the American Library Association. - Wendy Scott is the Assistant Director for Organizational Development and Learning of the North Carolina State University Libraries. - Jacqueline B. Ramseur is a Medical Librarian at CaroMont Health-Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia, NC. The panel will provide a brief overview of the diversity issues present in health sciences libraries. ‘Diversity in Recruitment’ and ‘Diversity in Action’ will be two of the main topics.
