- The National Online Training Center of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine provides information on training in use of PubMed and other NLM databases and databanks.
- The Southeastern/Atlantic Region of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine gives information about educational opportunities in the region (PubMed, DOCLINE classes, etc.).
- The Special Library Association's Professional Development Program page lists educational opportunities.
- The American Library Association's Continuing Education page leads to information about professional development and educational opportunities.
- The American Society for Information Science and Technology offers continuing education opportunities. Also of interest are ASIS & T conferences.
- SOLINET, the Southeastern Library Network, Inc., offers workshops and training sessions in the Southeastern states (AL, FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, NC, SC, TN, and VA) and Puerto Rico.
- EDUCAUSE (formed in 1998 by the consolidation of CAUSE and Educom) sponsors conferences, seminars, and institutes related to the use of information technology in higher education.
- The University of Maryland College of Library and Information Services offers seminars, workshops, and other continuing education programs.
- The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Information and Library Science offers continuing education programs, including its "INFO TO GO" workshops and annual trip to Oxford University.
- The Association of College and Research Libraries offers e-Learning Opportunities as well as Conferences and other Events.
- Web Junction provides a Training and Development page with lots of resources. They also offer online training courses.
