Message from the Chair

I hope that everyone is enjoying a marvelous summer! This is the time when we start to plan for the new association year that begins following the annual meeting in October. You will soon receive ballots in the mail to elect new officers for MAC. Please take time to complete and return your ballot. Your vote does count!

In addition to the election of officers, it is also time to start recruiting new members for MAC standing committees. Each committee has multiple vacancies for the coming year. Please visit the MAC Website at http://www.cbil.vcu.edu/mac/bylaws.html to review the bylaws and standing committee descriptions (Article VII, Section 1). Membership on a committee is an excellent way to be an active participant in the association! An application for committee appointment is available on the MAC Website at http://www.cbil.vcu.edu/mac/forms/committee_appointment.html. Please complete the form, print it and then fax or mail the form to me at the address or fax number listed on the bottom of the application. The deadline for submission of applications is September 26, 2003.

Finally, I look forward to seeing everyone in Philadelphia at the Collaborations, Partnerships and Solutions: The Quintessential Conference October 26^th - 28^th, 2003. The planning committee is busy arranging the final details for what I am sure will be an outstanding meeting. Additional information is available at http://www.quintmeeting.org/
