District of Columbia

DOCHSIN (the District of Columbia Health Sciences Information Network) has elected new officers for 2001. The officers are: Mary Hyde, ACOG, President; Soo Kim, American Psychiatric Association, Vice-President; Pamela Martinez, ROW Sciences, Secretary; and Darby Jones, Woodbridge, VA, Treasurer.

Maryland

Cathy Jordan is the new Reference Librarian at the National Naval Medical Center (better known as Bethesda Naval Hospital). She started in January 2001, after 14 years with the VA Library Network, the last ten years in Portland, Oregon. She is a graduate of the University of Washington Library School. She is also an Army veteran, so switching to the Navy is taking some getting used to (learning the new ranks!). Cathy loves to read (of course!), do crafts, and volkswalk (if you are a volkswalker, let her know - maybe you can get together!)

West Virginia

The West Virginia Health Sciences Libraries Association and WV Consult are holding their annual meeting titled: Surviving and Thriving in the 21^st Century - May 3 & 4, at the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center, Morgantown, WV.
