The Health Sciences Library at West Virginia University welcomes Sean Murphy as our newest Information Services Librarian. Sean received a Master degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh, He also holds a graduate degree in Safety Management. Sean comes to us from Fairmont State College where he worked as a reference librarian and Website editor. Jean Siebert is the winner of the Leadership and Management Section/MLA logo contest. Jean has received a complimentary registration for MLA 2001. Jake Hiles, Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery staff, attended the FLICC workshop ELECTRONIC ILL: Are We There Yet:? at the Library of Congress, Washington, DC on May 8, 2001. Nancy Wasson presented a session entitled Digital Document Delivery in West Virginia: Supporting Health Care Education Through Technology at the Tennessee HSLA meeting in Knoxville, TN on May 11, 2001. Brian Umstead, Library Technical Assistant, HSL Circulation/Reserves, attended the Voyager Users Group Meeting in Chicago, IL, April 19-21, 2001. The West Virginia Health Sciences Library Association held its annual meeting in conjunction with the WV CONSULT Gatekeepers Conference at the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center May 3-4, 2001. Officers elected for 2001-2002 include Michael Schott, President, Jessica Srogi, President-Elect, Mary Frances Bodemuller, Treasurer, and Karen Curtis, secretary. Our new officers hail from WVUHS - Charleston Division, Charleston, WV; Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, WV; West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Lewisburg, WV; and Marshall University, Huntington, WV.
