Pamela Meredith

Pam Meredith

Pamela Meredith (1955-2001) passed away on June 3 after a long struggle with breast cancer. Ms. Meredith joined the National Library of Medicine in 1985 as a Systems Librarian, following 8 years at the Himmelfarb Health Sciences Library, George Washington University, in serials management and public services. Since 1987 she had been Head of the Reference Section where she managed NLM's onsite services to patrons, as well as centralized customer services for patrons worldwide. In 1996, she received the NIH Merit Award for her exceptional leadership and achivement in providing reference services. Pam had been a member of MLA since 1983 and active in the Public Services Section.
