The Guide to Popular Natural Products, produced by the publishers of the well-regarded Drug Facts and Comparisons print guide, is a Web-based directory of 125 of today's most commonly used herbal or natural products. Including are products such as St. John's wort, glucosamine, and feverfew.

The guide provides ready access to a variety of detailed substance information including scientific/common names, patient information, botany, history, pharmacology, and toxicology. Photographs are often, but not always included. First-time users can most easily access the guide by clicking on the title link found midway down the far left column on the DRUGFACTS.com homepage (www.drugfacts.com). Bookmarking the guide's own lengthy URL (www.drugfacts.com/DrugFacts/GNP/GNPTop25Page.jhtml?pf=7&ps=6&cr=100&si=20) for subsequent use is highly recommended.

The information in the guide can be accessed in a number of ways. Alphabetical browsing provides the primary means of access. The entire DrugFacts site can be searched either by using the single-term search box found at the upper right of the guide's homepage or by using the advanced search feature, which provides an opportunity to combine search terms.

Whether performing a simple or advanced search, the user should be sure to check the available "free" or "free content" button in order to avoid those sections of the overall DRUGFACTS.com Website which require paid subscription for full access.
