Message from the Chair

The MAC Executive Board will meet on February 21, 2003 at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. All MAC committee members are encouraged to attend. At this meeting, committees have the opportunity to meet and work on goals and objectives they have set for the year.

Planning for the 2003 annual meeting in Philadelphia is well underway. Stay tuned for an update from Beverly Murphy in the next issue of MAC Messages regarding the meeting. Beverly and other members of the planning committee for the Quintessential meeting have been busy developing an event that we will remember for years to come. Mark your calendars now for October 26th - 28th, 2003.

I must thank everyone who volunteered to serve on the Strategic Planning Task Force for the coming year. The task force will be looking at MAC's strategic imperative to: "Create a dynamic organizational structure for MAC in order to fulfill its new vision and mission and to effectively respond to member expectations." I know that the work of the task force will only be accomplished through input from the members of MAC. Please watch for requests for information that the task force will make throughout the year.
