Nominate a Colleague for a MAC 2003 Award!

One of the highest professional honors we can receive is recognition from our colleagues. Fortunately, MAC provides us with an opportunity to formally honor colleagues who have shown leadership and initiative in the medical librarian field. You can nominate your colleagues for any of the following three professional awards: MAC Librarian of the Year Award, Marguerite Abel Service Recognition Award and the One-Person Library Recognition Award. Criteria for each award can be viewed at http://www.cbil.vcu.edu/mac/awards.html.

Nominating a person for an award is easy. You may submit your nomination by completing the online form at http://www.cbil.vcu.edu/mac/forms/nominate.html or mail your nomination to:

The deadline for submitting nominations is July 25, 2003. You will receive an acknowledgement of your nomination within five days of submission. If you do not receive this confirmation, please contact Patricia Vaughn at psv6n@virginia.edu or call (434) 924-0055. Award recipients receive a voucher good for up to two years for free MAC annual meeting registration OR up to one day MAC Continuing Education (their choice), recognition at the Honors and Awards ceremony during the annual meeting, and a plaque. The recipient of the Marguerite Abel Service Recognition Award also receives a check for $250.00.
